Dytran accelerometers

Notice of Intent to Award Sole-Source. Dytran accelerometers. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The ACC-APG Installation & Technology Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole-source contract to Dytran Instruments Inc., (Cage Code 2W033). The US Army Aberdeen Test Center, Automotive Directorate requires the following:

Quantity.10. 7603D5 TRIAXIAL DC ACCELEROMETER, 50g. Quantity. 10. 69026 ADHESIVE MOUNTING BASE, 2X 8-32, 1X 10-32 TAPPED HOLES, ALUMINUM ANODIZED ORANGE. Quantity. 10. 6964A30 CABLE ASSY, 9 PIN JACK TO PIGTAIL, 30FT The accelerometers are small electro-mechanical devices (transducers) which, when attached to a test item, sense motion and convert that movement to an electrical signal proportional to the acceleration of the movement. The existing instrumentation suites are populated with this make and model.

Dytran Instruments Inc. is currently the sole provider and distributor of Dytran accelerometers. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334519. Posting date of this requirement is 6 March 2025. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, 13 March, 2025. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This is not a Request for Quote.
