Notice of Intent for Sole Source. The Medical Readiness Contracting Office (MRCO) – East, intends to issue an award solely to Biomerieux Inc, address 515 S Colorow Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84108. The procurement is for supplies, consumables, and reagents for a Government owned Vitek 2 Compact 30 Microbiology Analyzer. The NAIC code for this procurement is 325413 and the size standard is 1,250 Employees. This procurement is to support the Guthrie Ambulatory Clinic, Fort Drum, NY.

The supplies and reagents are produced and supplied solely by Biomerieux Inc. There are no resellers. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of simplified procedures for certain commercial items.

A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed effort on a full an open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Please see the attached Sole Source Determination.

Responses are due no later than 6 August 2024 at 2 PM EST. Interested organizations may submit information for consideration of their capabilities and qualifications for future acquisitions to the contract specialist, Justin C Balster electronically via email to justin.balster2.civ@health.mil. The Government intends to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement on or around 9 August 2024.
