Ft. Meade DPW Document Control Services

The Directorate of Public Works (DPW) provides housing, environmental, real property, master planning, engineering design, construction and contract management, and operations and maintenance services for Fort George G. Meade (FGGM), a military installation comparable in size to a small city, spanning 5,000 acres across 65 paved roadway miles.

The recurring preventive maintenance, sustainment, repair, and modernization of over 4,000 facility real property assets across FGGM requires integrated planning, developing, contracting, constructing, commissioning and O&M turnover of hundreds of projects each year, involving Garrison-wide coordinated processing of thousands of contract documents, submittals, and updates to real property records.

To sustain the high quality, fiscal efficiency and continuous audit readiness demanded of Army Regulation and IMCOM Directive, DPW requires a document control system with oversight mechanisms, access controls, procedures and tools for effective coordination, distribution, and approval of project data and electronic artifacts across the DPW Enterprise.

The purpose of this Non-Personal Technical Support Services Contract is to put a Knowledge Management System in place for quality assurance, documentation, and oversight of a 4283 project work order (PWO) or approved DD1391 Military Construction (MILCON) project over its lifecycle, from inception through activation, capturing all deliverables and required documentation through close out of the awarded contract via a MICC final project acceptance letter or ACOE issued DD 1354, transfer of real property for BASOPS O&M.
