This is an amnedment to publicize all the questions from the site vist for Bldg. 45 Porches and Brick Restoration. DPW Responses to Contractor Questions for Solicitation W91QF425BA013 Ft. Leavenworth Bldg. 45 Porches & Brick Renovation 1. Do the Superintendent, SSHO and QC Manager need to be 3 separate individuals?

DPW: Only the SSHO and the QC Manager may be the same person. 2. Can the period of performance be extended after award once the material/equipment lead times are confirmed due to current market conditions for the equipment for this project?

DPW: Yes, the period of performance may be extended, but it may not be necessary. 3. Please provide the site visit attendee sign in sheet.

DPW: As discussed during the walk-thru meeting, DPW will not be able to provide the signsheets.This is a government document. 4. Please confirm the manufacturer of the existing roofing system and who carries the current warranty of the roofing system. “DPW: We can find no records of the existing standing seam roofing on the north or south porch roofs.” 5. Please confirm whether asbestos or lead is present on this project, and if so, provide the relevant documentation.

DPW: No asbestos is known to be on or near the scope area of this project. 6. Is this project tax exempt?

DPW: Yes, this project is tax exempt. We will request a tax exemption when the award is issued. 7. When do you anticipate on site work starting?

DPW: We anticipate on-site construction activities starting as early as 2 – 3 weeks after proposals are received. 8. Are third party inspections required?

DPW: No third party inspections are required, but DPW will generally review Construction and SHPO or others may come by to inspect. 9. Is permitting required?

DPW: No permitting is required.
