Procurement and Replacement of a Log Boom at North Hartland Lake, North Hartland, VT

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Pre-Solicitation Notice for Procurement and Replacement of a Log Boom at North Hartland Lake, North Hartland, VT.

THE WORK CONSISTS OF:

Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the following work at North Hartland Lake.

Procure and Replace: Log boom wire rope with one inch (1”) diameter continuous length, six by nineteen (6 X 19) galvanized, Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), approximately twenty- three hundred feet (2300’) in length.

Thirty (30) log boom chains Twelve (12) one inch (1”) rope clamps Two (2) one-inch (1”) thimbles The Contractor shall remove existing wire rope, and used hardware: fifteen (15) clamps, one (1) thimble) and six (6) twenty-foot (20’) logs resting on land to be disposed of properly off site. Six (6) twenty- foot (20’) logs marked with flagging in the lake section of log boom shall be moved out of the water to replace six (6) deteriorated logs resting on land.

Eleven (11) Government furnished log booms varying in length ranging from ten feet (10’) to nineteen feet (19’) shall be installed to replace sunken booms in the lake section of log boom. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation requirements and contract documents, to include instructions for submission, and the response date will be available on or about April 24, 2025. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Contract Opportunities website (www.SAM.gov). This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors.

The applicable NAICS code is 238990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19.0 Million. ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON-RESPONSIVE.
