The Massachusetts National Guard's Purchasing and Contracting Office is seeking market information on vendors capable of providing the services as described herein. MA NG P&C is currently conducting market research to identify qualified and interested potential sources, in particular, small business capability. The information requested by this Sources Sought will be used within the MA NG to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency.
This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotes (RFQ), or Invitation for Bid (IFB). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this notice. The US Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. Responses to this Sources Sought notice should indicate:
1. An affirmative answer that your firm can provide the requested supplies, a pair of container inspection stands in accordance with the MIL-STD-3037;
2. Your firm's socioeconomic classification (small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, etc.).
DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES: The Massachusetts Army National Guard is seeking a pair of container inspection stands to assist deploying units in determining the integrity of shipping containers. MIL-STD-3037 states: “The container inspection stands are used in pairs to support a MILVAN or other 20-foot-long international shipping container at an elevated level for the repair or inspection of the container’s underside.
The stands are set up with the support ends 15 feet apart so that the container, when on the stands, will overhang 2 to 3 feet at either end. The length of the support beam is to insure a clear view of the underside of the container without interference of the support bracing. It is intended that the containers will be resting on its side rails between the tie-together plates” The container inspection stands pound rating (40,000 lbs per stand/80,000 lbs for set). Open design for free access under the container, 72.0 inch working height.
SUBMISSION DETAILS: All interested parties are encouraged to submit a response to this Sources Sought announcement. Responses should address the following questions:
1. Company name, Cage Code/UEI, address, point of contact, phone number, and email address.
2. Identification of whether the company is currently designated as a Small Business IAW FAR Part 19.1. Capability package responses and questions shall be sent electronically to the primary and/or alternate Points of Contact listed in this Sources Sought notice.
