Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) Geothermal Sampling and Statistical Support

This action was awarded as Sole Source, not competed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. See Justification and Approval attachment. This contract will provide services to complete collection and laboratory analysis of water and gas samples, conduct surface geophysical collection and analysis of data and conduct a Bayesian Statistical Analysis of field and analytical data to help define and characterize potential geothermal resources within the NTTR. This effort will support a larger investigation and exploratory project being performed by USACE in-house resources.

Scope: The scope of this service contract will include:

1. Preparation of required project plans 2. Laboratory analysis of up to 5 gas and 3 water samples, as detailed in Section 5.2 3. Geophysical field Resistivity Testing and technical support, as detailed in Section 5.3 4. Bayesian Statistical Analysis of field data sets, as detailed in Section 5.4. Data for the analysis will be provided to the Contractor by the Government, and the analyses will be utilized to help evaluate the potential for geothermal resources at up to two different localities within the NTTR.
