Description

As published on SAM.gov.

Amendment 0001 The purpose of this amendment is to provide Government answers to Bidder Inquiries and a revision to Section 3.3.2 No Work Stages of the specifications. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, is seeking a firm to furnish all plant, labor, material, and equipment and performing all operations in connection with the repair of existing or construction of new stone structures, revetments, notching or removal of existing structures, and appurtenant work in accordance with this section of the specifications and the applicable drawings.

The work consists of modifying and constructing river training structures in the Mississippi River near Herculaneum, Missouri and Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. The work is spread across two separate ten-mile reaches of the Mississippi River and includes modifying 44 structures and constructing two new structures entirely from recycled stone from the modified structures. In general, dike modification refers to some form of degradation, removal, and/or relocation of Graded Stone A, which is 5,000-pound top-size.

Furnishment of new stone material will not be required for the work. The work is anticipated to be accomplished with traditional river marine construction equipment, such as floating plant and barge mounted crane.
