Capillary Rheometer (Instron SR20). The following specifications and included options are:
• Piston-die type in accordance with ISO 11443 and ASTM D3835 with a twin/dual bore configuration • Pressure transducer capable of reading up to 200 MPa • Temperature ranage of operation: room temperature to 450 °C with a resolution of 0.1 °C and accuracy and stability of 0.2 °C • Interchangeable die set of sizes of 5 mm (Length to diameter ratio (L/D) ratio 5), 20 mm (L/D ratio: 20), 30 mm (L/D ratio: 30) • Screw speed up to 1200 mm/min • Force capability up to 20 kN • A PVT system to obtain pressure-volume-temperature analysis of polymers tested that can manage multiple steps of pressure and temperature. • Supplied software with the instrument allowing for conducting experiments and tests such as flow curves, constant piston speed and shear rates, Bagley corrections, Non-Newtonian Index calculations, power law and cross equation fitting, elongation viscosity estimations, viscosity dependence on temperature analysis, and stress relaxation mode. • Installation and in-person training are required in the purchase.
