Coded Acoustic Receivers with Transponders

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)) with HTI-Vemco USA, Inc., 711 NE Northlake Way, Seattle, Washington 98105-6429 for six (6) Coded Acoustic Receivers with Transponders. The minimum needs for the required Coded Acoustic Receivers with Transponders are as follows:

• Must match VR2Tx-69kHz • Coded Acoustic Receivers with transponder • Tx Pinger Configuration: User Configurable • Receiver Battery: D-cell Lithium Metal Tadiran 5931/F • 500m depth maximum • Up to 14 month battery life • Frequency 69 kHz The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334290–Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 800 people.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit capable proposal, excluding price, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same or similar service. All capability statements received by the closing date of the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.

A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
