Recurring Maintenance and Minor Repair (RMMR) Services, NSA Souda Bay Greece

The proposed contract action is for fuel systems Recurring Maintenance and Minor Repair services in support of the Defense Logistics Agency – Energy (DLA-E) requirements at Souda Bay, Greece, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to provide these services.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. As fueling system failures have the potential to halt training exercises throughout the region and ground aircraft, it is of vital importance to have a contract vehicle in place capable of providing RMMR services, with no lapse in service.

As the previous RMMR contractor was recently providing RMMR services in Greece, they are the only contractor with the ability to provide immediate maintenance support with no service gap. The contractor already possesses base access for personnel and will be able to perform based off existing submittals. The period of performance for this follow-on action is 7 months. The Government intends to award a new long-term contract utilizing full and open competitive procedures as soon as possible.
