Wire Rope

Request for Wire Rope & Line Project Description: Physical Support Branch, Dredge Goetz, request the award of a contract for the purchase of wire rope and line for the Dredge Goetz’s fleet. This contract is to supply wire rope and line for the Dredge Goetz and its supporting equipment.

Scope of Work: Purchase of the following for line: Quantity Per Coil - 8 Coil Line Length (Feet) - 600' ea. Size - 1.1250 Minimum Break Force (Pounds) - 22,500 lbs. Application - Deck Rope Specification - 1 – 1/8” - 3 Stranded Poly Dacron rope. The individual spool lengths will be 600 foot. The minimum required breaking strength is 22,500 lbs.

Purchase of the following for Wire Rope: Quantity Per Coil - 4 Coil Line Length (Feet) - 600’ ea. Size (Dia.) - - 5/8” Construction Class - 6 x 19 Minimum Break Force (Tons) - 20.6 Application - Pipeline Winches & Grove LRT 530 Specification - The wire rope is used on sheaves, winches, and hoists. Also on our Grove LRT 530. All wire rope shall be tested and certified to meet and/or exceed the below minimum specified breaking force. All wire rope finish shall be “bright” fully lubricated, right regular lay (RRL). The wire rope grade shall be extra improved plow steel (EIP). The core shall be Independent Wire Rope Core. (IWRC)

Quantity Per Coil - 4 Coil Line Length (Feet) - 600’ Size(Dia.) - 3/4” Construction Class - 6 x 37 Minimum Break Force (Tons) - 29.4 Application - Spud Hoist Specification - The wire rope is used on sheaves, winches and hoists. All wire rope shall be tested and certified to meet and/or exceed the below minimum specified breaking force. All wire rope finish shall be “bright” fully lubricated, right regular lay (RRL). The wire rope grade shall be extra improved plow steel (EIP). The core shall be Independent Wire Rope Core. (IWRC)

All wire rope shall be tested and certified to meet and/or exceed the below minimum specified breaking force. All wire rope finish shall be “bright” fully lubricated, right regular lay (RRL). All wire rope shall be tested and certified to meet and/or exceed the below minimum specified breaking force. All wire rope finish shall be “bright” fully lubricated, right regular lay (RRL). The wire rope grade shall be extra improved plow steel (EIP). The core shall be Independent Wire Rope Core. (IWRC)

Quantity Per Coil - 2 Coil Line Length (Feet) - 1200' Size(Dia.) - 1-1/4” Construction Class - 6 x 37 Minimum Break Force (Tons) - 79.9 Application - Goetz Swing & Spud Winch Cables Specification - The wire rope is used on sheaves, winches and hoists. All wire rope shall be tested and certified to meet and/or exceed the below minimum specified breaking force. All wire rope finish shall be “bright” fully lubricated, right regular lay (RRL). The wire rope grade shall be extra improved plow steel (EIP). The core shall be Independent Wire Rope Core. (IWRC)

Quantity Per Coil - 6 Coil Line Length (Feet) - 100' Size(Dia.) - 1” Construction Class - 6 x 37 Minimum Break Force (Tons) - 51.7 Application - Caterpillar D-7R Winch Specification - Thimble on working end and Swage Eye (2 3/8” Long x 2 ¼” Diameter) for equipment winch drum

Quantity Per Coil - 4 Coil Line Length (Feet) - 130' Size(Dia.) - 1” Construction Class - 6 x 19 Minimum Break Force (Tons) - 51.7 Application - Taggatz Spud wire Specification - The wire rope is used on sheaves, winches and hoists. All wire rope shall be tested and certified to meet and/or exceed the below minimum specified breaking force. All wire rope finish shall be “bright” fully lubricated, right regular lay (RRL). To ensure compliance with the Buy American requirements, the Contractor shall list the country of manufacture for each of the products to be delivered under this contract. Documentation verifying the product being delivered meets or exceeds the listed breaking strength shall be provided at or prior to delivery for ALL items specified.
