This notice constitutes a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). This announcement seeks information from industry and will ONLY be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS RFI. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The Government will not pay for any response expenses. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response.

The US Army Corps of Engineers is specifically interested in determining whether contractors will still be able to complete beach placement for the NSB Kings Bay Entrance Channel Maintenance Dredging Project given the new Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) specifications (attached). The primary question for Industry is can placement of beach quality dredged material still be completed between December 15 and March 31 given the new MEC specifications.

Contractors will be required to place about 300,000 cubic yards of beach quality dredged material on Fort Clinch Beach and Fernandina Beach between December 15 and March 31. Responses should be emailed by 2:00 PM (EDT) on 3 May 2024 to Timothy Humphrey at Timothy.G.Humphrey@usace.army.mil. NOTE - DO NOT SUBMIT PROPRIETARY AND/OR BUSINESS CONFIDENTIAL DATA.
