The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure crane inspection service, on a sole source basis with Seatrax, Inc in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold and only one source reasonably available.

It is estimated that the requirement will extend past the base period into two (2) option years.The option periods extend form 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2026. The Base is eight (8) months and option year’s one (1) through two (2) are one (1) year in length. The NAICS code for this procurement is 333120 with 1,250 employee size standard.

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any business firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer in the form of a capability statement. Supporting evidence in sufficient detail that demonstrates the ability to comply with the requirement listed must be furnished to the point of contact listed below by May 10, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. CT.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, will not reimburse for any costs connected with supplying sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed.

Firms must register on a one-time basis, and annually confirm accuracy and completeness of registration information.
