Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Replacement Survey Equipment

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold and Only One reasonable available.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter a firm-fixed-price contract with Seiler Geospatial, of Des Moines, Iowa, for the purchase of a Trimble TSC7 controller V2 – QWERT keypad, USB/Serial Boot, NA/EMEA region, Standalone, Trimble EM120 2.4GHz Module, Trimble TSC7 Accessory – Pole Mount, Trimble Accessory – Carry Case Shoulder Bag, Trimble Geospatial Accessory – 12V Vehicle Adapter, Trimble R10 Accessory – PP Kit, Tripod Antenna, GPS, Adjustable, TPP Software – Trimble Access, TPP – Loyalty Program – Trimble Access, TC Premium – Hardware – TSC5/TSC7 v2 Data Collector, and TPP – Firmware Maintenance – Survey GPS Reinstatement.

To maintain functionally, the replacement equipment sought to be purchased as part of this acquisition must be of the same brand as the existing total station. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334519 with a size standard of 500 employees. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any small business that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer in the form of a capability statement.

Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed and must be furnished to the point of contacts listed below by 2:00 PM Central Time on April 22nd, 2024. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
