INDUSTRY OUTREACH EVENT The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is hosting a virtual Industry Outreach event to receive feedback on the Interim Dredged Material Management Plan (DMMP) Update for the Port of New York and New Jersey. Who should attend: Entities, organizations, and companies expecting to engage in dredging activities in the Port of New York and New Jersey from 2025-2029.
Description: The intent of the Interim DMMP Update is to manage dredged material proposed to be dredged from Federal Navigation Channels, Department of the Army permitted projects, and Federal Harbor deepening for the five-year period between 2025 and 2029 in the Port of New York and New Jersey.
This Interim DMMP Update will consider dredged material placement needs through the anticipated completion of remediation of the Historic Area Remediation Site (HARS) in the New York Bight, covering a 5-year period of analysis. The Interim DMMP Update will supplement previous New York District DMMP reports.
In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended, the New York District will prepare a Supplemental Environmental Assessment that will be integrated with the Interim DMMP Update Report. We are requesting feedback from attendees about upcoming dredged material projects, potential dredged material placement locations and dredged material processing facilities.
