Notice of Intent-Repair Fire Protection Tech Training, Multi Facilities project located at Sheppard AFB, Texas

In accordance with Section 888(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2017 (FY17) (Public Law 114-328) as implemented by Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-1(c)(2), the justification and approval (J&A) addressed in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.303 is required to use brand name or equal descriptions for the Monaco Fire Alarm System in the firm-fixed price construction contract for a Repair Fire Protection Tech Training, Multi Facilities at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas.

All existing Fire Alarm/Mass Notification Systems with the required capability and compatibility at Sheppard AFB are Monaco systems. The Brand Name Justification for the Monaco Fire Alarm System will be issued via an amendment under Step II of the Two-Step Sealed Bid W912BV24B0003 along with the final specifications to those contactors who submitted acceptable technical proposals in Step One. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The submission must be received no later than 8:00AM Central Daylight Time on 21 June 2024 to Lindsey.M.Byfield@usace.army.mil.
