SINGLE SOURCE SPECIAL NOTICE for a supply contract to provide a zero turn mower for Gavins Point Project

SINGLE SOURCE SPECIAL NOTICE This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2- Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Omaha District, intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract to Lakeview Small Engine, 2930 83rd St., Columbus, Nebraska. The purpose of this acquisition is for a supply contract to provide a zero turn mower to Gavins Point Project.

The contractor shall provide a zero turn mower to the Natural Resource Section of the Gavins Point Project which is a Government entity, in a manner and form consistent with (1) all applicable laws, regulations, permits and codes and (2) the facilities’ supply requirements.

The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source (1) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. (i) Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action.

The NAICS code is 333112, Lawn and Garden Tractor and Home Lawn and Garden Equipment Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard is 1500 employees. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 2pm CDT on 30 January 2025, an award will be made without further notice.

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
