Re-babbitt Guide Bearing

Vendor shall provide transportation of damaged guide bearing from Ozark Powerhouse 1204 Aux Arc Park Rd Ozark, AR 72949 to their facility to be repaired. When Vendor receives the bearing, they will perform as-found measurements on the bearing and the damaged Babbitt on the face of the bearing. Then they will remove the damaged babbitt from the bearing face. They will then repair the bearing mating surface that the babbitt is placed on and adheres to during the repair.

When the bearing is ready for the babbitt, the babbitt will be heated and melted down so that it can be poured onto the face of the bearing to the strict tolerances provided to that company by USACE Engineers.

When the repair / pour is complete, they will dress the babbitt for use, make final completed repaired measurements of the new babbitt face of the bearing, to include the physical dimensions of the new babbitt and the bearing shell it is joined to, and then send those measurements to the USACE Engineers for sign off. After Sign Off, it will be accepted, the bearing will be shipped back to the Ozark Power Plant in a wooden Crate or similar. We will then notify you that the bearing was received so you can close the project out.
