Notice of Sole Source Intent

Sole Source Intent: The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), Arizona, intends to award a firm-fixed price maintenance contract for a period of 12 months on a sole source basis with Hughes Fire Equipment Inc 910 Shelley St Springfield, Oregon 97477. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG) has a requirement to procure specialized non-personal services for Fire Truck Maintenance Support for Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) at Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona.

A full technical inspection will be mandatory to identifying all required services and deficiencies. The required work performed during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance must bring the fire trucks/equipment to a full mission capable and safe condition. Hughes Fire Equipment has a facility located in Phoenix, Arizona, located 200 miles from YPG, has a history of performing repair services for the LRC and meets the required Emergency Certified Vehicle (EVT) certification. The scheduled and unscheduled maintenance will include at minimum, the following:

Scheduled Fire pump flow test Certification ladder test Certification Oil change Multi-point inspection Power steering fluid Brakes Differential fluid Transmission fluid Windshield Wiper Blades & fluids All lights Radiator coolant Unscheduled Brake replacement Tire replacement Air leaks Fluid leaks Gauge failures Air conditioner failure Tank leaks Dead battery Period of Performance: 01 October 2024 to 30 September 2025 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 811111 was considered and selected as it comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing (1) a wide range of mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance services for automotive vehicles, such as passenger cars, trucks, and vans and all trailers or (2) engine repair and replacement.

The size standard $9M. Award for this requirement will be accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and will use the FAR Part 13 procedures. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.

In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item.
