Description

As published on SAM.gov.

Request for Information: Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Test and Evaluation Office Seeking Technologies for TECFT 2026 The Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Test and Evaluation Office (TEO) will host the Technology Experimentation and Characterization Field Trials (TECFT) event from November 2-13, 2026, at the Savannah River National Laboratory in Aiken, SC.

Submission Guidance: CBRN TEO is working with the Capability Program Executive for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense’s (CPE CBRND) Joint Enterprise Technology Tool (JETT) team to streamline the submission and review process for potential technologies.

All submissions must be received by Friday, March 6, 2026. Please follow the steps below to submit your technology for consideration: Visit the JETT homepage and select the option to “respond to an RFI.” Complete the contact form, ensuring you enter "TECFT 2026" in the "RFI#" field to properly associate your submission with this opportunity. Verify your email address to access the submission portal. Complete any relevant parts of the questionnaire and upload a copy of your TECFT 2026 Technology Submission Quad. The Goals of TECFT include:

Generate Critical Technical Data: Missing data? Want data? Need data? TECFT is designed to facilitate progression of commercial, non-traditional Department of WAR (DoW), and traditional-DoW technologies into fieldable systems by generating critical technical data in the Chem, Bio and Rad Defense domains, for Sense, Protect, and Decontamination capability areas.

Independent referee: The TECFT team will provide referee capabilities with referee data provided to participants daily, along with an opportunity for customers to generate their own performance data via chemical/biological simulant field trials with radiological scenarios. It also provides the opportunity to collect background environmental data in this unique environment.

Testing for all: TECFT leverages a cost-sharing model to reduce the financial burden for any one participant team, which allows for increased industry participation. Operationally relevant environments: TECFT strives to make each data collection opportunity strategically relevant. Examples of prior TECFT environments include Dry & Dusty, Urban + Operators, Littoral/Maritime and Urban + First Responders (shared exercise with DARPA). The 2026 event will provide a concentrated foliage and humid environment.

Event Purpose: Participating teams can collect critical technical data using a test-fix-test paradigm to gain insights and knowledge to characterize the performance of their own technologies.

Stay Connected: Would you like to be the first to know as registration opens, or have additional questions about how this event aligns with your technology? Please contact the CPE CBRND JETT team: usarmy.apg.dod-jpeo-cbrnd.mbx.jett@army.mil.
