Amended to take out Archive date. Law Enforcement vehicle mounted radar system. To ensure full operational capability, maximum accuracy, and compatibility with existing law enforcement and military police vehicle fleets, this solicitation requires the Ka-Band, dual-antenna, direction-sensing moving/stationary Doppler radar system. It must include simultaneous dual-zone tracking, digital antenna communication to eliminate RFI, and standard mounting hardware.
The required radar system shall be a complete, dual-antenna, direction-sensing moving/stationary Doppler radar package. The system must include the following salient components and characteristics: A central counting unit featuring an ARM processor, paired with a detachable LCD display and a protective sun shield. The system must utilize dual Ka-Band antennas, including a rear-facing antenna that is waterproof (rated IPX9K or greater).
It must come with a fast-lock remote control with a screw latch for secure operation. The package shall include a comprehensive mounting and installation kit containing a tall mount for the counting unit/display, a dash mount, and a tall deck mount for the antennas. All necessary cabling must be provided, including an 8-foot and a 20-foot antenna cable (both IP67 rated) and a Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) cable kit.
To ensure accurate calibration and verification, the system must be delivered with two Ka-Band tuning forks (25 MPH/40 KPH and 40 MPH/64 KPH). The procurement must also include a documentation kit, a fan noise suppression addendum, and a certificate of accuracy for dual-antenna radar systems. The entire system and its components must be delivered in a suitable shipping container for a dash-mounted radar configuration and include a minimum 36-month warranty.
