One-Sided Expandable Shelter for the Metal Working and Machining Shop Set (MWMSS) and Armament Repair Shop Set (ARSS)

This document describes the One-Sided Expandable Shelter for the Metal Working and Machining Shop Set (MWMSS) and Armament Repair Shop Set (ARSS). A One-Sided Expandable Shelter is used as the base structure in the production of both the MWMSS and ARSS. The Technical Data Package (TDP) for the Expandable Shelter is Distribution Statement A. Distribution authorized for public release.

Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) is issuing this Sources Sought Notice, on behalf of the requiring activity, Product Manager Engineer, Maintenance and Support Equipment (PdM EMSE) as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to provide the One-Sided Expandable Shelter produced in accordance with the Government TDP.

PdM EMSE is seeking information to assess the availability of sources that possess the capabilities to produce the One-Sided Expandable Shelter for the MWMSS and ARSS. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which the agency will consider.

If your organization has the potential capacity to provide this hardware, please provide the following information that the agency will consider: A positive statement of your interest as a prime contractor; Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; A statement identifying your certified small business designation (if any); Anticipated time from contract award to first system build? Monthly build quantity capacity?

Associated production lead time when production running at full capacity? Rough Order of Magnitude (cost) for a shelter; possible range prices discounts? Have you ever built a one-sided expandable before? Historical information as it relates to your ability to make shelters, i.e. commercial or Government contracts?
