Basic Services: The contrator shall dispose of up to 1.5 average metric tons per month of medical waste in individualized containers with "HAZARDOUS," marked in English.

LOCATION:

Port-au-Prince International Airport, Haiti ADDED:

Question & Answer Q: Who currently handles the waste disposal? Is it being disposed/ treated in the US or Haiti? Do you have an arrangement to get it to the US for treatment if it is being treated in the US? Looks like the waste is being collected at the airport, then what happens to treat it?

A: Currently, there is no requirement to get rid of medical waste. There is no arrangements with any USG and we have no knowledge how the Haitian government deals with medical waste. Medical waste from the site would need to be disposed of offsite at a location identified by the contractor.
