Notice of Intent to Sole Source - VOISUS Radio System Expansion

VOISUS is the NGB enterprise standard for all 11 Air National Guard ranges throughout the CONUS. It is a proprietary system that is not compatible with other systems from other manufacturers. Any other competitive bids for this contract would not be capable of functioning with the existing system that is installed. The addition of this console and license will provide critical communications capabilities to the Range Safety Officer (RSO) position in the Control Tower of Range 48 on Ft. Drum.

This additional capability will provide the required redundancy and compatibility with the Range Control Officer (RCO) and Range Operations positions that already have VOISUS systems installed. The additional VOISUS console will provide the RSO position with access to all major radio networks being used by the other two positions within the Control Tower.
