Description
As published on SAM.gov.
The Army Contracting Command ? New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) in an effort to perform market research to assist in determining the acquisition strategy for the Red Sands Hard Kill Challenge. The US Army Central Command (USARCENT), in coordination with the US Army Armaments Center (DEVCOM AC), leads field experiments and assessments aimed at advancing technologies for countering small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) in complex and contested environments.
These efforts are vital to developing solutions for defeating Group 1-3 sUAS, which represent a growing threat to operational forces. By collaborating with government research and development organizations, academia, and industry, USARCENT and DEVCOM AC provide a venue for assessing innovative solutions in realistic operational settings. These assessments allow technology developers to engage directly with military personnel, gaining critical insights into military capability gaps and high-priority mission needs.
The main performance locations are Red Sands in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Operation Hard Kill at Fort Walker, Virginia, USARCENT and DEVCOM AC.
