Call for Participants – Product Director Crew Served Weapons Remote Weapon System Summit 2024

Product Director (PdD) Crew Served Weapons (CSW) is hosting an invitation only Remote Weapon Systems (RWS) Summit in the vicinity of Picatinny Arsenal, NJ on 16-17 July 2024. The purpose of this event is to sync stakeholders in the acquisition (across all Services), RWS, industry, and User community, and have discussions on current, emerging, and future efforts, seeking opportunities for increased efficiencies.

Maximum collaboration and networking will be encouraged, and this event will also serve as market research for RWS efforts and novel technologies for future and/or legacy systems and/or enablers. This event is also an opportunity for Industry partners, as well as government entities, to obtain direct customer feedback from Stakeholders and other participants. Technologies may include but are not limited to:

Remote Weapon System and/or enablers supporting machine guns, grenade machine guns, medium caliber weapons, robotics, and Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) capabilities. Due to the sensitivity of some of the information that will be discussed, the first day of the summit, 16 July will be for U.S. Government only. To encourage networking, PdD CSW is planning a social the night of Tuesday 16 July 2024 for both USG and Industry Partners.

Each attendee must pay their own consumption and all ethics rules must be observed. Time and location to be determined and will be provided as part of the official invite to interested respondents. Industry is encouraged to RSVP using the form below with planned number of attendees for the social event on the evening of 16 July and the remainder of the summit on 17 July. Participating vendors/government entities are invited to present a briefing at the RWS Summit.

Industry briefings will be to a USG only audience, unless otherwise specified by the vendor.

The RWS Summit provides an opportunity for participants to present their concepts, prototypes, and hardware to Stakeholders including, but not limited to, RWS Industry Partners, PEO Soldier, PM Soldier Lethality, PdD CSW, Maneuver Center of Excellence, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, Army Futures Command, DEVCOM Armaments Center and Ground Vehicle Systems Center, Special Operations Command, PEO Ground Combat Systems, PEO Combat Support & Combat Service Support, PEO Missiles & Space, Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office, representatives from all Services, and others.

Due to venue space constraints, industry partners are limited to informational briefings. No large static displays will be allowed at the RWS Summit. Participants desiring to participate shall complete the attached form and provide to the Points of Contact listed below. The Government reserves the right to invite or revoke vendor invitations to this event. Participant information must be submitted no later than 25 June 2024 to be considered for an invitation.

Further guidance, maps, instructions, and timelines will be provided to those chosen to participate. No award is intended as a result of this event nor does the Government intend to pay for any information received. Any response to this event is not an offer and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding award. Participation is completely voluntary. The Government will not be responsible for any expense incurred by a participant's decision to partake in the event.

All travel and other associated costs are to be assumed by the interested participant. A lack of attendance to either event does not preclude participation in any future solicitations, if any are issued. A follow-on Vendor Demonstration Day with live fire events is being planned for 2025 and a separate announcement will be issued in the future.

The focus of the Vendor Demonstration Day will be demonstrating capabilities/effectors to the RWS community to inform of current capabilities to support current/emerging requirements and/or potentially drive future requirements.
