AOUSC - Actors for CJA Trial Skills Academy

This is a solicitation is prepared in accordance with the Administrative Offices of the U.S. Courts Judiciary Guide, Chapter 3, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This is a solicitation for 22 improv trained actors for The Defender Services Office (DSO) Training Division within the Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC).

DSO holds The Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Trial Skills Academy every year to enhance the advocacy litigation skills of Federal Public Defenders and CJA panel attorneys. More specifically, the Academy is a skills-based workshop that uses a blend of plenary and small group sessions to teach participants. Experienced faculty and actors assist participants in the development of their trial skills.

To facilitate this annual event, DSO is seeking to procure the services of 22 improv trained actors to participate in its Criminal Justice Act Trial Skills Academy that will be held at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from August 04-08, 2024. Please see the attached Request for Quote (RFQ) for instructions.

Quoters shall submit their quote response electronically to the Contracting Officer, Candace Browne, via email at Candace_Browne@ao.uscourts.gov with a cc to Arnold_Casterline@ao.uscourts.gov by no later than the due date and time listed above. Any other type of submission of responses shall not be accepted. Responsible sources shall follow the instructions in the attached RFQ in order to be considered. This requirement is unrestricted and not set aside for small business. The Judiciary is not subject to the FAR.
