THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. IT IS NOT A SOLICITATION, NOR DOES IT GUARANTEE A SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. Any information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Announcement is strictly voluntary. The Government will neither award a contract solely based on this notice, nor pay for any information submitted by respondents.
This notice is a request by the Government to collect information from interested vendors for the purpose of market research. Failing to provide a response to this announcement will not prohibit/exclude an interested vendor from participating in a future solicitation. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations.
The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 333921 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Background The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC), has 3 elevators that require maintenance, repairs (when needed) and annual inspections. Specific Capability Historically the facility has experienced elevator inoperability while passengers were in an elevator.
For the safety and security of passengers, a remote monitoring system is currently part of the functionally of the elevators. The government is searching for potential providers that have the capability of not only servicing the elevators but that also clearly have the capability of 24/7 remote monitoring through the existing monitoring system or the installation of a new system. Responses to this notice shall include:
1. A statement that you believe your firm has the capability to meet a remote monitoring requirement of elevators either through the existing Otis system or by installation of a new system.
2. Your firm's Unique Entity ID number (UEID).
3. Your firm's business size status. Specifically identify if your firm is HUBZone-certified, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, or in the SBA’s 8(a) program, etc. If your firm is not small, please state that it is a large business. Responses shall be provided to Kimberla Fairley via email at Kimberla.Fairley@noaa.gov no later than 11:00 AM (MST) on February 5, 2024.
