Request for Interested Manufacturers: Transfer Switch Assembly (5930-01-199-1073)

SUBJECT Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Transfer Switch Assembly (5930-01-199-1073), PN 439505-1. ITEM DESCRIPTION An RF transfer switch is a type of RF switch that does not have a single common port. Instead, it has 4 ports with two thru paths. RF switches are used to route high frequency signals through transmission paths in microwave test systems.

IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for this item was EDO Corporation now doing business as L3Harris Technologies, Inc. (CAGE 00752). The Government owns the technical data package in support of this requirement. L3Harris is the only known manufacturer that has capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the asset with the ALQ-161.

Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issues may be present due to this item not being produced since 1983. INTEREST Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later later than 25 Oct 2024, by emailing Daniel Gochenaur at daniel.gochenaur.4@us.af.mil and/or April Walls at april.walls@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure these items using Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.1, Full and Open Competition.
