14 FEB 2024 REQUIREMENTS DESCRIPTION: The engine driven air compressor, for use on the HEMTT A0 and HEMTT A2, is a critical component of the vehicle’s braking system. The air compressor, powered directly from the engine, delivers pressurized air to four pressurized air reservoirs which supply air to the air braking system. The compressor also supplies pressurized air to the engine throttle air cylinder and transmission modulator which control the vehicle speed.
