Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source

Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract DLA Distribution intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order for (2) HFC 227 and (2) HFC 236 FA Recovery/Recycling Systems for recovery of HFC gases located at DLA Distribution Richmond, VA. on a sole source basis to Getz Fire Equipment Company (small business); cage code: 58013. In accordance with FAR 6.203-1 “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements and FAR 13.106-1(b) “soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.” Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes.

A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 325120 with a small business size standard of 1,200 employees and PSC of 4250. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.

If no affirmative responses are received, a purchase order will be awarded to Getz Fire Equipment Company.
