Sources Sought - Emergency Vendor List - Towable Generators - Ellsworth AFB

Ellsworth AFB is conducting market research on the availability of towable generators. The Government is looking to set up an emergency list of vendors who can provide these units on a rapid timeline, and with little to no notice, for use at Ellsworth AFB.

At this time, the Government does not have well-defined minimum characteristics for the type of generator we will need. However, for the purpose of this sources sought, please provide details for the following salient characteristics.

• About 60 kW
• Diesel
• Towable with a 3/4-ton or 1-ton truck
• 12 hour run-time

To be clear, the above minimum characteristics are loosely defined. As such, if you have a capability similar to this, but doesn't meet these exact specifications, we would like to see it.

The Government is looking to establish this emergency vendor list in the next few days. As such, please provide your information by Friday, 9 Oct 2026, at 1 PM MDT.

  • Link to product page (if available)
  • Rated power output
  • Electrical output
  • Fuel type
  • Fuel tank capacity
    • External vs internal fuel tank
  • Trailer dimensions
  • Hitch type
  • Cold-weather operating capability
  • Any required site conditions (utility connections, clearance, etc)
• Commercial Specs
  • Confirmation of ability to lease
  • Turnaround time to deliver the units to Ellsworth AFB
  • Where you will be sourcing the units from
  • Whether units are owned by you and in your local inventory or if it is sourced from a 3rd party
  • Whether you accept a Government Purchase Card (GPC) as payment
  • How many units you can provide on this short notice
  • Whether you can deliver the units, or if the Government will need to pick it up (and where the Government would need to pick it up)
• Support Specs
  • Whether you can provide ongoing maintenance while Government leases the units
  • If you can offer 24/7 technical support
• Pricing Specs
  • Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost to lease the units (Please provide this as an all-in price including 24/7 emergency technical support, maintenance, delivery & pick-up, etc)
