Description
As published on SAM.gov.
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions.
Hello, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory has a requirement for a Desktop Scanning Electron Microscope with at least 10 nanomter resolution and simple user interface. Must have fast load time and be insensitive to vibration. Must have energy dispersive spectroscopy function for elemental analysis. Must have long source lifetime and maintenance free operation. Source selection will be based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Method (LPTA).
Some of the most important parameters of merit for this instrument are large sample holder size, pump down time, and use of instrument without gold plasma coating. Since this is a multi-user, multi PI instrument; rapid turn around for samples is vital. So rapid pump down for samples is a must.
Also being able to image samples without spending time doing a gold plasma deposition will save valuable time and increase imaging time 1.) Beam Brightness (electron flux) 2.) Desktop Instrument – No lab electrical upgrades needed 3.) Resolution – need better than 10 nm 4.) Imaging insulating materials without Gold plasma coating 5.) Loading/pump down time (less than 60 sec) 6.) High Sensitivity electron back scatter detector – elemental analysis 9.) Automated Image Mapping 10.) Python Programming Interface 11.) Large Sample Size up to 100 mm x 100 mm 12.) Integrated Optical Microscope 13.) Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy with integrated Si Drift detector 14.) Automated Image Mapping 15.) Ultra Depth of Focus 16.) Remote Access 17.) Customizable Accelerator Voltages (4.8kV – 20 kV) 18.) Compact size less than 15 in w x 25 in d x 25 in h 19.) 200,000 times magnification for backscatter and SED detection mode 20.) Vibration Insensitive Quote is for product only; no on-site services permitted.
Source selection will be based on Lowest Priced and best Lead-Time. Please provide a price and lead time quotation by COB March 11, 2024. Send quote to kcoh@SLAC.stanford.edu. Is there any room for additional discount such as for Academic, ICPT, GSA, or Government Institutions? Buy American Act Certification (BAA) applies to award over $10,000. Representations & Certifications Rider is required. Once completed the Reps and Certs is valid for one year until renewal.
If you have already completed one within the year please disregard. Otherwise, please complete and return. All subcontractors are required to register in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov). If possible, please provide a link to your webpage for published price list to substantiate for the prices quoted. The resulting purchase order will be issued on a fixed price basis.
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory Terms and Conditions for Fixed Price Commercial Supplies and Services (Rev. August 2023) will be made a part of the resulting order. Payment Terms will be NET-30 Freight terms will be FOB Destination Prepaid and Add You are requested to mark and identify proprietary/confidential information provided in response to the solicitation.
