Desktop Scanning Electron Microscope

Hello, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory has a requirement for a Desktop Scanning Electron Microscope with at least 10 nanomter resolution and simple user interface. Must have fast load time and be insensitive to vibration. Must have energy dispersive spectroscopy function for elemental analysis. Must have long source lifetime and maintenance free operation. Source selection will be based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Method (LPTA).

Some of the most important parameters of merit for this instrument are large sample holder size, pump down time, and use of instrument without gold plasma coating. Since this is a multi-user, multi PI instrument; rapid turn around for samples is vital. So rapid pump down for samples is a must.

Also being able to image samples without spending time doing a gold plasma deposition will save valuable time and increase imaging time 1.) Beam Brightness (electron flux) 2.)
