Description
As published on SAM.gov.
USAID Burundi has implemented the Site Improvement Through Monitoring System (SIMS) activity through the contractor CERPED since April 2, 2021. PEPFAR invests billions of dollars annually in programs to prevent and treat HIV infection in priority countries. To optimize these investments and ensure accountability among PEPFAR implementing mechanisms, PEPFAR requires all countries receiving PEPFAR funds to implement the Site Improvement Through Monitoring System (SIMS) and control the quality of data.
SIMS is a quality assessment and quality improvement framework for HIV services funded through PEPFAR, which assesses individual sites where programs are implemented. A non-competitive time and cost extension of the activity will maintain service continuity, enable USAID Burundi to continue advancing a key U.S. foreign policy objective, and support the Government of Burundi’s (GOB) efforts to achieve the 95-95-95 target. The CO has approved the Justification and Approval for the time and cost extension.
