Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Precision Shooting and Weapons Handling

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a sole source contract for precision shooting and weapons handling. The contractor shall provide a three (3) to five (5) day training to HRT operators that is in line with the current training methodologies within the tactical firearms program. The contractor shall provide ranges that HRT operators can shoot under duress, low light and no light conditions, and inside and outside of vehicles.

Operators shall be trained on operational techniques to include reactive target assemblies in both team and individual patrolling, close quarters battle methodology, under low and no light conditions, and in a 360-degree environment. The training shall also focus on specific operator firearm fundamentals when operating in a low visibility tactical surveillance capacity.
