Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract for 16 Encryption Devices to Viasat, Inc.

The Space Development Agency (SDA) intends to award a sole source contract to Viasat, Inc. of Carlsbad, CA to purchase nine (9) KG-142 1 x 10G crypto units and four (4) KG-142 2 x 10G crypto units. This cryptographic hardware will be utilized in support of SDA's Proliferated Warfare Space Architecture. The required delivery date is 120 days after contract award. The estimated contract value is $975,000.

This contract award will be made under the authoirty of FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements (10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1)). Amendment 1 (1-10-25) The estimated quantity of KG-142 cryto units to be procured is changed from 13 to 16. The esitmated contract value is increased from $975,000 to $1,360,000.
