Sole Source: IT Support for NOAA Employees and Contractors at the Joint Hydrographic Center

This sole source contract was awarded under the authority of 41 U.S.C.

1901 as implemented by Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation Overhaul 12.102 “Restricting Competition.” The Government awarded a five-year (5) firm-fixed-price contract with the University System of New Hampshire (UNH) for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Ocean Service, Office of Coast Survey, for Information Technology Support for NOAA employees and NOAA contractors at the Joint Hydrographic Center located at UNH.

This requirement is for annual Information Technology (IT) support for NOAA personnel and/or NOAA contractors working collaboratively with UNH researchers and in facilities provided by and shared with UNH. These personnel require IT services and support that is tightly integrated with the UNH IT infrastructure. Due to the combination of physical and IT security concerns, it is not possible to provide the needed support through a third party contractor. Areas of service include:

computers and services, basic IT services, and high-performance data storage. This action is intended to support the IT needs of 15 NOAA users throughout the period of performance, and up to four additional NOAA users (19 total) in any option years.
