Medium-Voltage Metal-Clad Switchgear

Amendment 1 - Add 'Attachment 3 - 2024009140 - SURAP Units - Metal-Clad Swgr Specs'. No other changes. NREL is seeking to purchase medium voltage switchgear for the 34.5kV IESS (Integrated Energy Systems at Scale) Grid Infrastructure and SURAP (Switchgear to Unlock Research Asset Potential) projects at NREL’s Flatirons Campus. This purchase should include delivery to the NREL site by the selected Offeror. The unloading and installation of equipment will be performed by NREL employees or an NREL subcontractor. NREL intends to publicly publish for a period of 15 calendar days a competitive solicitation for the following:

• Two (2) new 34.5kV switchgear Power Centers for IESS (for complete specifications and drawings see Attachments* 1 & 2 hereto); • One (1) 13.2kV switchgear section for addition to a third Power Center for IESS (for complete specifications and drawings see Attachments* 1 & 2 hereto); and • Two (2) new 13.2 kV Power Centers for SURAP (for complete specifications and drawings see Attachment* 3 hereto). * Attachments, specifications, and drawings are subject to change.

The anticipated solicitation will request that offerors provide switchgear manufactured by one of the following manufacturers: • Eaton Corp. • Powell Industries, Inc. • ESS Metron • Industrial Electrical Manufacturing (IEM) • MCM Engineering II • Square D, Schneider Electric • Or approved equal
