Note: In accordance with DOSAR 652.242-73 AUTHORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE (AUG 1999), all contractors must possess all permits and licenses required to do business in Spain. All offerors will be required to provide proof that they already possess said permits The Contractor shall provide laborers for Moving Services at the U.S. Embassy and its official residences/properties.

The Contractor must furnish all necessary direct labor personnel, ensuring they are qualified to lift and move items weighing up to 60 kilograms, with experience in correctly moving, carrying furniture/appliances, and providing warehousing services. Contractor personnel are required on site solely for contractual duties.

TYPES OF SERVICES Warehouse tasks include moving items from delivery trucks to storage, utilizing appropriate material handling equipment, assisting clerks with kit preparations, and ensuring proper item storage and rotation. Loading and unloading of furniture/appliances and goods, sorting items for delivery, and supporting the Mission's various agencies. Assistance with furniture/appliances relocation, event setup/breakdown, and disposal of materials.

Sort items for delivery, prepare supplies and equipment for issue to all agencies within the Mission in support of approximately 300 customers. Support with annual inventory tasks and sales of disposal items involving significant physical exertion is expected. Residential Make-Ready Services include furniture/appliances handling, ensuring readiness for occupancy.

Moving company provides personnel to load furniture/appliances onto the forklift (operated by Embassy personnel), unloaded into the GSO’s moving truck, and vice versa... Furniture/appliances are stacked in moving trucks in a way that will not damage USG furniture/appliances. New in box furniture/appliances will be transported in their boxes and unpacked on site.

Furniture/appliances that is not in boxes will be properly cushioned (with either blanket, cardboard, bubble or any material that will provide cushioning) to avoid scratches or damage. Such materials will be provided by Embassy warehouse personnel. New in box furniture/appliances/appliance is unboxed on site (by the hired company), barcodes are affixed onto the furniture/appliances (by Embassy personnel) and placed in the destined office or room of the residence as directed by Embassy personnel.

All packing debris will be disposed of by the hired company, following post recycling procedures. Furniture/appliances is transported and unloaded to either the USG warehouse or the official USG owned/leased residences. Assisting Receiving staff with item handling and placement is required. Support for VIP visit preparations, including the delivery and pickup of necessary items is required.

The Contractor's employees shall not, under any circumstances, enter other rooms in the service locations or move any other furniture/appliances other than those directed by the Property Supervisor or his designated representative. The award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable, responsible offeror. In accordance with DOSAR 652.242-73 AUTHORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE (AUG 1999), all contractors must possess all permits and licenses required to do business in Spain.

All offerors will be required to provide proof that they already possess said permits. All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals
