Notice of Intent to Award

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL Defense Health Agency (DHA) Northeastern Healthcare Operations - Contracting Division (NEHO-CD) on behalf of the Naval Dosimetry Center in Bethesda MD, intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Mirion Technologies, Inc., 800 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting “Other than full and Open Competition” in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5 – Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services.

This contract is intended to meet the mission of the Naval Dosimetry Center to procure a multi-year maintenance and calibration services contract for their Whole-body Counter, Aegis and Isolo Systems that detect and/or measures radiation. Their functions are as follows:

Whole-body Counter – Monitors individual exposure to radioactive material and dose assessment to determine amount of radioactive material. Aegis System – Measures Gamma radiation to determine unknown or unidentified sources. Isolo System – Measures Alpha and Beta radioactive material to determine extent of action from sources. Mirion Technologies, Inc. is registered in SAM.gov. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard: 1,000 employees.
