Sources Sought for Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) Data Migration Services

The Army Contracting Command-Redstone Arsenal-Corpus Christi Army Depot, Contracting Office in Corpus Christi, Texas is issuing this sources sought as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources that can provide ASRS Data Migration Services in accordance with the guidance contained herein. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement.

Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding submissions. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.

1.0 General: This is a non-personal services contract to provide data migration services to migrate the Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) data, currently stored in the HP EVA database to the Primera database. Both data bases are located at the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), Corpus Christi, Texas.

The objective is for procurement of professional Storage Area Network (SAN) data migration services to ensure that all infrastructure, hardware and networking is configured and that all start up services are complete. The Government will not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government.

1.1 Description of Services: The Contractor shall perform the following services in support of the data migration project:

a. Storage Area Network (SAN) implementation.

b. Configuring/Migrating from EVA to Primera.

c. Reconfiguring ServiceGuard with iSCSI Migrated Luns.

d. Configuring/Migrating from EVA to Primera on 4 HPUX servers.

e. Reconfiguring ServiceGuard with fiber channel Migrated Luns.

f. Confirm that all systems to be migrated have been successfully backed up.

g. Implementation, monitoring, and verification of the migration of data to the new storage array.

h. Cutover to the new array.

i. Execution of post migration verification plan.

1.2 Background: The depot has a requirement for onsite services for migration of ASRS data from HPE EVA to Primera. ASRS is the storage and retrieval system that is utilized to retrieve parts from stock for delivery to the requiring work center as well as to place items into stock bins that are designated as stock replenishment.

1.3 Scope: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, quality control, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the ASRS data migration services. The Contractor shall provide all requirements as defined in this PWS, except for those items specified as government furnished. The Contractor shall perform to the standards of this contract.
