Candidate Visitation – Inspire Program 2024-2025

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: Hudson River Partners, DBA The Thayer Hotel.

Synopsis: MICC-West Point intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13-106-1(b)(1)(i), “Only one source reasonably available” based on the company being the sole provider for the services and is therefore the only source capable of satisfying the Government requirements.

For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This is a new requirement for lodging and meals for the USMA Directorate of Admissions Candidate Visitation – Inspire Program 2024-2025. The vendor is responsible to provide lodging, lunch, breakfast, and dinner.

The objective of this requirement is to provide accommodations necessary to perform the duties of the outreach events. The NAICS is 721110 – Hotels (except Casino Hotels) and Motels with a size standard of $40.0M. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals.

The proposed contract is for: Hudson River Partners I L.P. DBA The Thayer Hotel 674 Thayer Rd West Point, NY 10996-1906 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice.

A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
