Notice of Intent to Sole Source Soo Area Office Software House Hardware and CCURE Software Upgrade

This Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Siemens for the purchase of Software House Security Access Control hardware and upgrading existing CCURE software at United States Army Corps of Engineers Soo Area Office located in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and will sole source to:

Siemens Industry Inc. 1000 E. Deerfield PKWY Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 As part of this procurement, the Detroit Distract intends to specify brand name products on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) to Siemens Industry Inc. Due to the highly specialized nature of this Software Support Agreement, Siemens is uniquely qualified since it allows the SAO to maintain a 24/7 emergency contact to keep the CCURE system fully functional. Work under this contract is expected to include the following:

CCURE Software Update: Provide and install updated software at the minimum of version 2.9 or above. Ensure that all hardware is migrated to new CCURE version. Ensure that all operators are trained in all new aspects of updated software version. Software House Security Access Control Hardware Provide and install new hardware in currently installed enclosures. Ensure all hardware is programmed with current software. Provide card readers that comply with all FIPS regulations. Provide all equipment listed below:

10- Edge units (1 for new install others for direct replacement) 15- Ultra units ( 2 for new install others for direct replacement) 22- GStar ACM I Star Ultra 75- readers ( 8 for new install rest for direct replacement) Readers must be wired OSDP 90- input boards 15- output boards 1- 8 Reader Ultra SE Power supply 1- 16 Reader Ultra SE Power supply 1- Dual Power supply This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal.

This is not a solicitation and the information contained herein are subject to change or be eliminated from the requirement. Only Contractor’s capable of providing directly compatible equivalent products shall respond. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Interested parties who feel they have the capability may identify their interest and capabilities to provide directly compatible equivalent products, please provide the following:
