Notice of Intent to award Sole Source acquisition of DR and CT Workstations Software/Update

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items. The ACC-APG Tenant Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source supply contract to North Star Imaging, Inc. (NSI)

Unique Entity ID: Z9VAFBVBKEE8. The objective of this contract is the acquisition and shipment of DR and CT Workstations with efX software and installation for an existing NSI X5000 Computed Tomography System. The DR workstation uses efX-DR software to interface with the X5000 CT system to control the machine and acquire radiographic images. The CT Workstation with efX-CT software utilizes GPU processing capability to process the collected data into 3D CT volumetric data.

The X5000 Computed Tomography (CT) System and its exclusive efX Software is proprietary to NSI and meets critical mission needs for body armor and special projects the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), Aberdeen Test Center (ATC), at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 27 March 2024. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. This is not a Request for Quote.
