Cristobal Colon Gravel Pad - Equipment Rental

14 AUG: PWS draft updated Pre-solicitation notice issued to identify an upcoming requirement to lease gravel pad construction equipment at Cristobal, Colon, also known as Fort Sherman. The scope includes lease of 2 Bulldozers, 2 Rollers, 1 Grader, 1 Front End Loader, 1 Dump Truck, 1 Backhoe, 2 Skid Steers, and 1 Telescoping Forklift. Equipment deliveries to begin 31 August 2026 with a lease period of approximately 3 weeks.

This notice meets the requirements of RFO 12.201-1 Simplified procedures, paragraph (c)(2)(i) in order to solicit quotations directly from suppliers. Vendors may contact the POCs in this pre-solicitation notice to identify interest, but there is no guarantee that all interested vendors will be selected to receive the RFQ when issued.

The solicitation is anticipated to be issued directly to suppliers on/around 20 August 2026. A Lowest Priced, Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation is being considered, with an anticipated award date on / around 28 August 2026. Pre-solicitation Notice updated to provide a DRAFT of the PWS for vendor consideration in assessing capabilities prior to notification of interest. When contacting the POCs, include sources of equipment and estimated lead time after award to deliver to the site.
