Notice of Intent for Sole Source

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Research Triangle Park (RTP) in Durham, North Carolina intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to Integra Biosciences in accordance with RFO 6.103-1(b) to purchase Protective EMA for government-owned Integra ViaFlo Instruments. This procurement is recommended to be processed without full and open competition.

EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention Office of Mission Critical Operations requires a Protective equipment maintenance agreement (EMA) for the government-owned Integra ViaFlo Instruments to ensure proper performance and dependability for this equipment and associated peripheral accessories.

The Integra Biosciences Protective EMA shall include:

• Basic PM Service (each):
  • Preventative maintenance of one base unit
    • Operational and safety functions test
    • Mechanical and electrical parts check
    • Inspection for wear
  • Validation and calibration of one pipetting head
    • Inspection for exterior damage
    • Exchange of external O-rings (where applicable)
    • Leak test of all channels
    • Calibration
  • Maintenance and calibration sticker for base unit and pipetting head
  • Maintenance documentation and pipetting head
  • Firmware update if available and requested
• On-site Calibration (each):
  • Visual inspection for exterior damage
  • Change of external O-rings, where applicable
  • Leak test of all channels
  • Calibration with certificate
