Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Purchase of STC-50 Door

he 700 CONS Contracting Office intends to make a sole source award to M. C. Dean Inc. for the purchase and installation of a STC-50 Door. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) which authorizes the government for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), to solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.

Please see attached Sole Source Justification for further information. The NAICS code is 444180. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
