This is a sources sought for market research purposes only. This notice does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote or invitation for bid. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement.
Any information submitted by responders to this technical description is strictly voluntary. This information will be used to determine the availability of contractors capable of meeting the Government's minimum requirements. Telephone calls will not be accepted. Any questions regarding this notice shall be submitted in writing.????
NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ) is conducting market research to identify potential sources with the capability and capacity to perform ship repair services on U.S. Navy surface ships located within U.S. territories in the Caribbean, including but not limited to:
Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands Ponce, Puerto Rico San Juan, Puerto Rico Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Note: 10 U.S. Code § 8680 is applicable to this sources sought notice. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 336611 – Ship Building and Repairing.
Submission Requirements: Interested sources are invited to submit a capability statement that includes the following information: ?1)
Contractor Information: Provide your company name, address, POC name, phone number, email, CAGE code, and NAICS.??? 2) Size of Business: Large or small business. If small, please provide the socioeconomic status.???? 3) Provide a brief description of your organization’s relevant capabilities, resources, technical competencies, and experience specific to ship repair services.
Standard brochures and/or paraphrasing of the requirement will not be considered sufficient to demonstrate the capabilities of an interested party.
