Notice of Intent to Sole Source C-SCAN Evaluation and Repair

The Commander Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) hereby gives notice of their intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to Matec Instruments Company, Northborough, MA on a sole source basis. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 8.405-6(a) (C), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Matec C-SCAN ultrasonic inspection system COMFRC requires inspection and repair of the C-SCAN ultrasonic inspection system, Part # GTR3011DDARN, Serial #341-11200201 Matec is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the C-SCAN system, and retains all the proprietary /technical data rights required in order to supply the required and necessary components. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement without impacting the requirement.
